Sixteenth Note: = ½ beat
Eighth Note: = 1 beat
Dotted Eighth Note: = 1½ beats (a dot adds ½ the original value)
Quarter Note: = 2 beats
Dotted Quarter Note: = 3 beats(a dot adds ½ the original value)
Half Note: = 4 beats
Sixteenth Rest: = ½ beat of rest
Eighth Rest: = 1 beat of rest
 
 
 
Quarter Rest: = 2 beats of rest
 
 
 
Half Rest: = 4 beats of rest
