- Start Finale 2012.
- Place the music on the scanner (upper right).
- Click Scanning... in the Launch Window.
- Wait while it prescans.
- Click Final Scan in the SmartScore Lite 6 Window after making any adjustments.
- Wait while it scans.
- Click Finish in the Scan Window.
- Click temp.TIF then click Begin Recognition in the SmartScore Lite 6 Window.
- Wait while it recognizes.
- Select an instrument, click just above the OK then click OK in the Instrument Name Assignments Window.
- Copy and paste music to a separate properly set up file.
